Marseillan-Plage
Marseillan-Plage is a magnificent beach in the department of Hérault in the region of Occitania, directly at the Mediterranean Sea between Cap d’Agde and Sète.
Marseillan-Plage is only 26 km (16 miles) away from Prieuré Saint Martial and you can reach it within approx. 35 minutes by car or 1 hour and 20 minutes by bike. There are also enough parking spaces for everybody.
The beach is long and wide, the sand is white and very fine and the water is deliciously clear and noticeably warmer than in Sérignan.
Apart from the bathing pleasure and various recreational activities such as sailing and windsurfing courses, Marseillan has some more attractions to offer such as the quays and the marina as well as an antique and flea market that takes place every Saturday, Sunday and public holiday.
And if you like, you can drive approx. 12 minutes by car (or 25 minutes by bike), approx. 7 km (4,5 miles) to the other side of the Étang du Thau and visit one of the mussel farms, where you can enjoy super fresh mussels and oysters. Simply delicious!
